Word of Glickman's success with the Williams case spread to other NYPD precincts, and throughout the country. So when a woman was found murdered in a New York City hotel with the shady image of her killer captured on tape, the NYPD again sought Glickman's expertise. The challenge became evident when Photek received the tape: The edges were frayed, the oxide deteriorated, and the images distorted with "noise" (visual speckling).

Again, Glickman was able to enhance the video image, drawing out the image of the killer by using a sophisticated statistical analysis to model, and then remove, the noise. From the remaining imagery Glickman was able to determine the height, size and weight of the suspect. He also determined that the suspect was carrying a backpack, the description of which he provided to investigators.
